Nesting and Cutting Optimization Software

Real Cut 1D version 12 will be release soon. Here is a list with what is new:

Bug fixing

• Bug fixed in the optimization engine (1D) for some particular cases with Priority different from 0, which can result in the crash of the application.

New features

• High DPI support.
• Adhesive labels can be printed for pieces from solution.
• Pieces from the solution are shown in tabular format (which includes start and end coordinates).
• Can show/hide columns from the Results table.
• Added Export selected data to Project commands.
• Added the possibility to insert a comment when exporting a project.
• Added the About command under the Project menu, which will display information (comments) about the imported project.
• An error message is shown when pieces with angles different from 90 degrees have 0 height.
• A new command for manually grouping identical parts and stock.

Reorganization/Improvements

• Better optimization.
• Statistics have been moved to a different window.
• Load and append, Save as, Import and append, Export, Duplicate (for Parts) commands have been moved under the Additional button in the Parts’s toolbar.
• Some commands for Stock have been moved under the Additional button in the Stock toolbar.
• Which columns are visible (for Parts and Stock) has been moved from the toolbar under the Column button.
• Find optimal stock size has been moved under the Stock|Tools toolbar.
• Parts are saved, by default, to Working folder\\Parts.
• Language menu has been moved as submenu of the Settings menu.
• Updates menu has been moved to the top menu.
• Two panels options has been moved to the Settings menu.
• Fractional values are not rounded (up or down) anymore. Instead, an error message is shown if fractional values are not rounded correctly.
• Undo Accept button has been moved from the main menu to the Results toolbar.
• Made clear that Project commands are for importing/exporting data and not for loading/saving them. When modifying an imported project, data will not be overwritten on the existing file. Instead, the project must be explicitly exported.
• Error messages are shown with a red icon on them. Information messages are shown with a blue icon on them.
• Improved language translations.

We have just released version 10 of our linear optimization software.

We have a lot of new things and improvements here:

– fractional input (now you can enter the data either as real values: 100.5 or as fractional ones: 100 1/2)

– advanced import from Excel: you can choose what is on each column of your table, you can also skip rows etc.
